Portable Solar Charger Great Investment For Girl Scouts
The Girls Scouts of America recently held a fundraiser to purchase camping supplies for their overnight and extended trips out of doors. The number one item on the camping gear list was a portable solar charger, or solar power charger. A portable solar charger is invaluable on the types of trips the Girl Scouts take, because a portable solar charger teaches the girls about saving and conserving energy, using resources, and spending money wisely. A solar power charger will recharge almost any non-electric, battery-powered device, so that it is ready to use again in a very short time. These can include devices like flashlights, miniature portable cooking stoves, space heaters, car battery jumpers, music players, and even portable showers.
A portable solar charger may seem like an expensive purchase initially, but investment in a solar power charger is one of the wisest investments that can be made, as it saves money and energy, overall. It is wonderful to teach this lesson to the Girl Scouts, which is an organization that is all about conservation, appreciation of nature, and about making wise, mature decisions. Teaching survival in wilderness is the main reason behind the overnight camping trips, and the portable solar charger helps a great deal.
